Iii Executive Summary This proceeding is derived from the 2nd national Participatory Forest Management (PFM) Conference held on the 15th and 16th July at the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) headquarters in Muguga.
The conference brought together forestry practitioners and policy makers with the main purpose of informing. of Forestry and Wildlife was initiated in earlyresulting in the 1st National Forest Management draft bill. This bill was reviewed at institutional level active participation from Kenya Forest Service (KFS), and Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI).
The draft was further enriched with input from civil society organizations under. particularly Kenya Forest Service and its entire Board, Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) for allowing its members to participate fully in this year’s conference.
